The piano trio is an excellent alternative to a string quartet, particularly when the venue happens to have a good piano. Piano trios used to be the staple ensemble in grand hotels and restaurants: you can recapture that elegance! The pieces listed below reflect the best of traditions, mixing classical and light music and recreating a sound that will not fail to charm and delight. Rigaudon Piano Trio would be at home in a church as well as in a hotel piano bar, as long as there is an upright or grand piano.
It is also possible to book Rigaudon Piano Trio together with another Rigaudon ensemble, for example the piano trio could play at the wedding ceremony, to be followed by the Rigaudon String Quartet at the reception. Having different groups in different parts of the day can add more variety, especially if the style of music is altered too. Booking two or more ensembles for the same event is not too dear, as we give a generous discount for packages.
Rigaudon Piano Trio is London-based and can be booked to perform in South-East England, ca. 100- mile radius around London. Further travel may be possible, so do ask for a quote even if your event takes place outside our usual area.
Rigaudon Piano Trio’s repertoire is continuously expanding, so if you don’t see specific pieces or songs you are looking for, we are happy to take requests and, if needed, write new arrangements for an additional fee.
